BLOODHOUND CO2 DETECTOR
The BLOODHOUND underdoor CO2 detector has been developed jointly with Gas Data Limited of Coventry, to bring forward an operational piece of equipment for those tasked with searching isolated rooms and buildings where rapid intervention teams need that vital information to establish human presence in a stronghold before entry.
As CO2 is heavier than air, the gas falls to the lowest point, namely the floor and supplies a quick response to BLOODHOUND to report its presence, exhaled from Human beings.
By the simple insertion of a 3.5mm black blade under a door, BLOODHOUND provides an essential safety net in this dangerous area of operations, indicating reliable CO2 levels present before entry is made by a simple LED RED or GREEN indication to the operator.
The BLOODHOUND uses the same body and blade thickness as the SCORPION Underdoor Viewer with the knurled ruggedised alloy screw on handle which houses the four AA batteries providing well over 10 hours continuous use.
A world first.
The BLOODHOUND is also provided with a telescopic arm to allow operators to either use the unit by hand or by simply attaching the arm to increase the distance between it and the door for safety reasons. The telescopic arm is simply attached to the 1/4" Whitworth screw hole on the unscrewable battery handle of the unit.
