The EARWIG has been developed and designed by Goodman Bentley for use by those operatives engaged in sensitive listening operations, where it is crucial the best audio is recovered from a stronghold before any rapid intervention is considered.
The technology used in such a small handheld device is outstanding. Designed specifically for Hostage Siege/Hijack & Rescue situations, it has established itself in the technical armoury of Government, Military, and the Law Enforcement communities worldwide, as the best stereophonic stethoscope available after extensive operational trials during the latter part of 2016.
It prides itself in sampling high quality DAC (Digital Analogue Convertion) and ADC (Analogue Digital Convertion) techniques of the Audio signal received, to a very high frequency (using an over-sampling technique) in order to improve the characteristics of the audio path recovered and recorded.
It uses an amazing five-bands of equalized algorithms which provide you with clear resultant audio unsurpassed in other stethoscopes, it is a truly unique and remarkable unit, with our own designed PCB, encapsulating all elements of a best seller including the onboard recorder which utilises the provided 8Gb Memory stick which provides 32 hours continuos recording and writes to a uncompressed WAVE file, so it can be played in any computer without any specialist software, quickly to provide urgent interrogation of the resultant recording.
The two control knobs and the frontal LED’s are all you need to operate EARWIG, which provides a simple and easy to use solution to this highly technical field of audio recovery.
The only stethoscope with an onboard recording facility. 8GB memory stick provided with the equipment, also Sennheiser headphones and all ancillaries in a robust specially designed carrying case.
Re manufactured in GREEN with lots of improvements for 2018 and the stove enamelled hard wearing paint on both the recorder and the sensor heads
